Two Bingo Hall Giants Clash Over New Site

Reportedly, U.K. based MayFair Bingo chain wants to build up a place for their bingo operations in the location of an old gymnasium that is located on St. Nicholas Road in the Sutton Town Center.

But Mayfair Bingo's application has been strongly opposed by another U.K. based Bingo hall, Mecca Bingo, which has an establishment in nearby Rosehill, which is just near on the site where Mayfair wants to build their bingo hall.

The whole issue will now be taken up to the court as Mayfair Bingo Parlor wants to challenge the decision of not granting them an online bingo gaming license.

Simon Hannah, who is the Chief Executive of Mayfair, said that their sole opponent in the issue is Mecca Bingo. Mecca says that they are enough to satisfy and fill the bingo need in the area, but that is absolutely untrue. Mecca seems to think that Sutton is part of Croydon which it is not.

He added that Mayfair is not claiming to offer any advantage or anything new over Mecca, they are both just selling the same thing. However, Mayfair is just trying to satisfy the bingo demands of smaller towns where much larger gaming companies have no presence.
